Job Summary

Position is remove and employee must reside in Nebraska


n

Responsible for the day-to-day internal business operations involving the Nebraska Health Plan, shared services and corporate cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, delivering products through the design process to completion. Works directly with state stakeholders planning and directing operational deliverables and initiatives on time. Monitors operational processes and deliverables from inception through delivery. May engage and oversee the work of external vendors. Assigns, directs and monitors system analysis and program staff. This positions&s; primary focus is ensuring day-to-day operational excellence strengthening the customer experience with state operation stakeholder.

Job Duties


n

o Active collaborator with people who are responsible for internal business projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, delivering products through the design process to completion.


n

o Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets.


n

o Monitors projects and opertioanl issues from inception through delivery.


n

o May engage and oversee the work of external vendors.


n

o This positions primary focus is operational expertise leveraging program/project management, rather than the application of expertise in a specialized functional field of knowledge although they may have technical team members.


n

o Focuses on process management/improvement, organizational change management, program management and other processes relative to the business.


n

o Leads, concultsand manages team in planning and executing business programs and initiatives.


n

o Serves as the subject matter expert in the functional area and leads programs to meet critical external stakeholder needs.


n

o Communicates and collaborates with customers to analyze and transform needs and goals into functional requirements. Delivers the appropriate artifacts as needed.


n

o Works with operational leaders within the business to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements.


n

o Creates business requirements documents, test plans, requirements traceability matrix, user training materials and other related documentations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


n

REQUIRED EDUCATION:


n

Bachelor&s;s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.


n

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &a; ABILITIES:


n

  • n
  • 3-5 years of Program and/or Project management experience.

  • n
  • Operational Process Improvement experience.

  • n
  • Healthcare experience.

  • n
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Visio.

  • n
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • n
  • Experience partnering with different levels of leadership across the organization.

  • n

n

PREFERRED EDUCATION:


n

Graduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.


n

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:


n

o 5-7 years of Program and/or Project management experience.


n

o Managed Care experience.


n

o Experience working in a cross functional highly matrixed organization.


n

Experience working direclty with key customers in a highly matrixed organization


n


n

PREFERRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, ASSOCIATION:


n

o PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification and/or comparable coursework desired.

Pay Range:
$66,456 - $129,589/year

Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
